
Grief, Loss & Resilience Group: Post-Fire, Session 1
Elizabeth Topp PhD is a Licensed Psychologist working in private practice in Malibu, CA, supporting clients with post-traumatic growth and healing locally within the Los Angeles community as well as internationally as a consultant and coach of positive psychology, wellbeing, life transition and the Inner Development Goals for Human Flourishing. Dr. Topp has extensive experience working with post-wildfire resilience and Life Transition and was on the Roots & Wings mental health team after the 2018 Woolsey Fire supporting clients using Attachment-Focused EMDR trauma repair and integration. Dr. Topp’s research and expertise is in the area of Presence, or Being-based capacity development, guiding clients to access the present-moment as a strategy for gaining self-awareness, self-regulation, healing and growth. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Topp is a yoga and meditation teacher, with additional certification in creative expressive arts and mind-body wellness. A regular speaker and group facilitator of Grief & Loss within the community, Dr. Topp holds a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology and Master’s Degrees in Counseling Psychology and Holistic Human Development with therapeutic specialization in clinical psychology, Attachment-Focused EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
