Trying new foods, especially fresh veggies, can be a challenge. After all, meals that use lots of vegetables tend to be less delicious and a lot more, well, boring… or at least that’s what everyone thinks!

Little Sprouts at Sterling Farms believes that giving you the chance to grow, harvest, and prepare their own ingredients will inspire a lifelong love of gardening, cooking, and eating healthier foods. Every week we’ll guide children of all ages in tending to and picking a variety of vegetables right from the vine. Then we’ll head to the on-site kitchen and work side-by-side in creating savory soups and cheesy veggie pizzas with our basket of fresh ingredients!

At Farm Hands you will learn all about:

  • Growing and harvesting a variety of vegetables, herbs, and even edible flowers!

  • Why fresh ingredients are SO important to cooking healthy, delicious meals

  • How to use gardening and kitchen tools safely

  • What vegetables and herbs work well together, which don’t, and why you shouldn’t be afraid to get creative in the kitchen!

  • So much more!

This is an awesome opportunity to get outside, learn more about working with the earth and preparing meals in the kitchen, and try some new foods along the way!

Info: The 7-12 age group will meet on Thursdays 11am-2pm starting xx/xx/xxxx. Registration is $40 per child per session with limited spaces available to maintain proper social distancing. More details to follow!

See you at the farm!
